Source code availability
No source code is available to the general public. There are a few groups who have access to the code to produce updates, such as OldUnreal. That said an effort exists to rebuild it from scratch and it's already pretty far along. No doubt that this will eventually be the go-to for playing Unreal!How-to-play On-line
Thanks to the efforts of OldUnreal the ability to play Unreal online in the 21st century is given. It should be a pleasant experience out-of-the box!Downloads
You can get the entire game for free, thanks to Epic Games declaring it and Unreal Tournament freeware on October 29, 2024.Here is OldUnreal's installer, which will install the game and patch it.
