Info

Loaded with non-stop action and laughs, South Park is true to the wildly successful television series. Developed with the input of the show’s creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the game unfolds in five episode-based, single-player adventures. Gamers can choose to play as Kyle, Stan, Cartman, or Kenny in single player mode, or from more than twenty South Park characters in multiplayer mode. It’s up to Kyle, Kenny, Cartman, and Stan to save the day and bring peace to South Park using a slew of gadgets, including a Cow Launcher, Sniper Chicken, Snowballs, Terrance and Phillip dolls, and everyone’s favorite – Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo. Along the way, players encounter all of South Park’s classic characters – Mr. Garrison and Mr. Hat, Chef, Officer Barbrady, and many more. South Park also features custom voices recorded specifically for the game by Matt Stone, Trey Parker, and Isaac Hayes.

Everything fans love about South Park, now in 3-D! For the first time, gamers can wander the streets of South Park, explore all of the city’s landmarks, and interact with their favorite characters.

Hilarious storyline. A mysterious meteor is heading to South Park, and in its wake creates chaos – turkeys are revolting, robots attack the townspeople and aliens are abducting the town’s cows. Players must take command and save the day.

Designed specifically for the PC. The PC version of South Park is designed to take full advantage of PC technology, including support for Direct3D hardware acceleration.

Numerous multiplayer options. South Park will ship with GameSpy support out of the box, so gamers can easily create and join multiplayer games via the Internet or their local area network.

Hillarious gadgets. Gamers are armed with a host of awesome gadgets, including a Cow Launcher, Auto Egger that uses a live sniper chicken and Mr. Hankey (the Christmas Poo).

How-to-play On-line

Joining games

You can connect to the above games using the +connect command-line parameter:

SouthPark.exe +connect 123.123.123.123 +name .Player.

This will work regardless of whether the on-line service is up.

Note: You have to supply your nickname with the +name parameter, or else the game will assign you a dummy one. The game cuts the first characters surrounding the name, so make sure to pad it like we did above.

Hosting games

Make sure your /etc/hosts file points master0.gamespy.com to whatever IP address master.frag-net.com points to. Use the ping of your operating system to figure that out. It will also make the bundled GameSpyLite work with our service, as we're backwards compatible with GameSpy.

When the game launches, it will ask which interface to bind it to. If it's not listing your public address there, you will not be able to host a game. Modern home networks may prove a challenge in that regard.

These challenges aside, meeting the above criteria will make your games be displayed above in our list.

Maps

The PC version has 26 multiplayer levels.

Here they are in the order that they appear in the multiplayer menu of the game.
You also have the choice of using a Random Level when hosting a game.
