The Vertigo Series was an addon included with Descent II: The Infinite Abyss that included a slew of new content for Descent II. If you already had Descent II, you could order the second disc of The Infinite Abyss separately for only $19.95 instead of the full price of $49.95.
Vertigo Series introduces:

- 22 new levels
- New redbook audio tracks
- Modified AI for new bosses
- All new "hoard" multiplayer game
- Pulsing new soundtrack
